Injury Prevention Term Paper - 550 Words

Injury Prevention (Term Paper Sample) Content: Injury PreventionPresented byInstructorCourse TitleDateThere are three models of injury prevention: CDC, epidemiological model, and the Haddon Matrix. Which model do you think is the most effective of the three? Compare and contrast the components to back up your answer. In my opinion, the most effective model is the Haddon Matrix because, it provides multi-dimensional flexibility phases through identifying the prevent, event and post event. Through identification of these events, the Haddon Matrix can help the health departments to respond to a real life event such as a motor vehicle crash (Evans Dyar, 2010). The epidemiological model concentrates of forecasting the growth of a disease and the environmental factors associated with the disease. It is not a flexible model to address disease because of not focusing on particular actions that can be connected to the disease as the Haddon Matrix. Likewise, the CDC models only take into account the collective factors, me aning the factors that put a person at the perils for experiencing the injury. It does not address real life scenarios (Evans Dyar, 2010). However, the CDC model can maintain prevention measures than any other model.Response 1I agree that the most effective model is the Haddon Matrix model because it can help us to see the pre-event, event and the post-event in the occurrence of an event. However, though the epidemiological model just asks for environment, it also important because it helps us to track the growth of an outbreak of a problem, which is an important factor in controlling the spread of the problem (Evans Dyar, 2010). Likewise, the CDC model does not address real life scenarios, but through ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s four phases, it can help us to understand the potential impacts of the problem and the prevention plansResponse 2 Injury Prevention Term Paper - 550 Words Injury Prevention (Term Paper Sample) Content: Injury PreventionPresented byInstructorCourse TitleDateThere are three models of injury prevention: CDC, epidemiological model, and the Haddon Matrix.
